The seller was prompt, quick, and packaging kept product in mint condition. I would recommend using this seller for any product - large or small.
It was awesome. I can turn the TV and Audio system on with a touch of a button or I can hit the DVD button and it will go right to the XBOX 360 with the sound after I turn the XBOX on of course. The only downfall to this system in my eyes is that you can't adjust the BASS on the Subwoofer. It hooks up to my Sony TV, XBOX 360 and I string a long Audio cable to hook up to my mac to listen to music.
Overall a great system for someone looking for a easy to use sound system. Other then that you can have 8 sources plugged into this thing at once and have HDMI which is awesome. This system should of came with that feature. I searched around for a month or so and I went to check out the Korean systems at the Korean stores. I was out-of-luck until I found this one sitting on the shelf at the BX. I've had expensive systems in the past before I joined the military and this one is excellent. The system is life like when I'm playing Modern Warfare 2 and I can hear the people sneaking up on my on multi player mode with this system.
You can control the TV with the remote if you have a Sony TV and control your DVD or Blu-Ray player with the remote too. Being here in South Korea on deployment I needed a sound system when I first got to Korea. I heard it and I was like damn this thing sounds great. Come on Sony for me paying almost 400 dollars for this system and me not being able to adjust the Bass is crazy.
I'm glad I followed the advice of other reviewers and chose this item. Works especially well with my PS3, and it was a breeze to hook up. I spent a long time shopping for a home theater system. I have a small room with a big TV, and this provides just the right kind of sound.
A week later I get it back with a note reading, "Sony Needs the Complete Unit" taped to the subwoofer. I contacted Sony and learned the product had to be shipped to Texas at my expense for warranty repairs. It's apparent Sony wants to discourage warranty repairs by not making repair facilities available nationwide. I began having distortion problems with the subwoofer about a month ago. I won't be buying Sony anymore. I boxed up the subwoofer, attached a note explaining the problem including that another subwoofer worked fine, and shipped it to Texas.
I've owned a lot of Sony products in the past. I've owned this unit for a little less than a year. I hooked up a neighbor's subwoofer to the system and it worked fine. No one even bothered to read the note I had sent.
Other than that, we really like our setup. It's odd to me that even though HDMI is the ideal setup (at the moment) that the unit doesn't have at least a few regular RCA inputs. I have yet to get into the fine tuning, but I do wish the vocals in the center channel were louder. that it "only" has HDMI inputs. The explosions we hear just fine ;-) There are so many things out there that are still viable components that don't have HDMI built in.
My wife and I must be hard of hearing because most of the time we can't understand what they are saying - we've tried all the different preset settings. . I know I should have caught this when researching the item (clearly shown in the image of the back of the unit), but I didn't. We have a 42" commercial grade Panasonic Plasma and this stereo in a 8ft X 11ft TV room.
